Runaway Scrape is the 5th CD in a series of Texas albums from Harry Ryan Dennis. When the Alamo fell, Sam Houston ordered the city of Gonzales to be burned to the ground to keep it from Santa Anna’s possession. The citizens of Gonzales had a short amount of time to gather what they could, and escape. That event is called Runaway Scrape. It was chosen for the title of this CD as a tribute to our freedom, our fallen forefathers, and as a metaphor for thinking outside the box. The diversity each person brings to the project is celebrated for creating a unique sound that fits the spirit of each song. Those songs, embroidered together, make Runaway Scrape an indelible Texas album. We hope you like it!
